February 2, 2021 - The Missouri Senate this afternoon took up SCS SB 51 & 42, handled by Sen. Tony Luetkemeyer. Sen. Bill White had filed one of the bills that was combined into the substitute bill.
Floor debate is expected to continue for quite a while today. While business groups, healthcare providers, and others remain united in support of the bill, the Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys, and the legislators they support, are putting up roadblocks to the bill.
Associated Industries of Missouri thanks those senators that are standing up for the businesses in Missouri that need protection from frivolous COVID liability lawsuits.
