Prop A - Minimum Wage and Paid Sick and Domestic Violence Leave was passed by voters 11/5/24. The Proposition contained more than one subject, violating the Missouri Constitution. AIM worked with other business advocacy organizations to launch a legal challenge against this dangerous law change that leaves employers vulnerable to lawsuits. The Court ruled against us. We took our fight to legislators and were successful in passing a bill to overturn this misguided law.
Associated Industries of Missouri reminds employers they must comply with the provisions of Prop A from May 1, 2025 through August 28, 2025 (the effective date of the bill), provided Governor Kehoe signs (or does not veto) the bill by July 14, 2025.
