In light of recent international events, the Missouri Department of Natural Resources recommends Missouri public drinking water and wastewater systems increase their vigilance, especially regarding cybersecurity incidents:
Such events provide opportunities for threat actors to employ various cyber threat strategies against critical Missouri water and wastewater infrastructure that are important to protecting human health and the environment.
The Missouri Department of Natural Resources urges you to review all of your system’s security plans.
Do you need cyber attack help right now? Call the Missouri Information Analysis Center (MIAC) at 866-362-6422 immediately. MIAC will help Missouri systems coordinate with the appropriate state and federal agencies during and after an attack.
Implementing basic cyber hygiene practices can help your utility prevent, detect, respond and recover from cyber incidents.
