The Doe Run Company funds new safety equipment for Iron County Sheriff’s Office

The Doe Run Company (Doe Run) donated $10,000 to provide the Iron County Sheriff’s Office with new lights, sirens, speakers and consoles for nine patrol cars. The new equipment will help improve officer and local resident safety when Iron County officers are responding to emergency calls and car accidents, or conducting traffic stops.

“We are grateful for Doe Run’s support to provide our team with new, reliable equipment that will enhance safety for our officers and local citizens,” said Sheriff Jeff Burkett. “Making sure we have the latest technology helps us do our jobs more efficiently while protecting the community.” Located in Arcadia Valley, Missouri, the sheriff’s office serves Iron County, and encompasses the cities of Ironton, Arcadia, Pilot Knob, Annapolis, Belleview, Bixby, Des Arc, Glover, Hogan, Middle Brook, Viburnum, and Vulcan. The Iron County Sheriff's Office consists of the sheriff, chief deputy and seven road deputies who are committed to supporting a peaceful and safe environment.

“Many of our employees and suppliers live in or drive through Iron County to get to Doe Run operations, so anything we can do to help keep officers, area residents and those driving along the roads safer is important to us,” said Brian Mangogna, vice president – mining and milling at Doe Run. “We appreciate knowing that when there’s an emergency, our local Sheriff’s Office is ready to respond and protect those in need.”
