House Speaker Jones and Majority Leader Diehl lead the fight for broad-based tax cut

The Missouri House Wednesday afternoon embarked on a debate on Senate Bill 509, the latest effort to provide a broad-based tax cut to Missouri business and its citizens. Speaker of the House Rep. Tim Jones (R-Eureka) and Majority Floor Leader Rep. John Diehl (R-Town and Country), joined by the 14 Republican representatives who voted to sustain Governor Nixon’s veto of last session’s HB 253, met with the press before the debate. Here is the story and the video from the MissouriNet’s Mike Lear.
