The Missouri House of Representatives Tuesday gave final passage to AIM-supported legislation that would allow enforcement of arbitration agreements between employers and at-will employees.
House Bill 1718, sponsored by Rep. Kevin Corlew , requires the employer and employee to jointly determine the arbitrator – often a retired judge. The arbitration process is less expensive and generally results in quicker decisions.
HB 1718 was truly agreed and finally passed in the House by a vote of 86-68. It now moves on to the State Senate for debate.
