Economic growth hits 4.1 percent for second quarter

The U.S. economy experienced a 4.1 percent jump in the April to June quarter. This is the highest level in almost 4 years. the Commerce Department said on Friday.

Officials for the Trump administration stated it was a sign that the economy could expand at a 3 percent annual rate for the first time since 2005.

Consumer spending rose 4 percent. Exports increased 9.3 percent from a surge in sales of soybeans.
