Workshops for Food Producers Starts Jan. 18

In an era of social media where information about food recalls, harmful pesticides and foodborne diseases can be shared in seconds to millions of people— it is certain that food safety will continue to headline in 2019. It is more important than ever for food producers to take steps to increase safety and elevate public confidence in our food system. In fact, every operation serving or selling food is required to have a food safety system in place that is designed specifically to guarantee that the food being served is safe to eat for the consumer.

To help Missouri food companies, Missouri Enterprise joined forces with the Missouri Department of Agriculture and the Meat Processors Association to hold a variety of workshops and certification sessions throughout the state. From providing the latest food safety regulations and practices, equipping farmers markets with resources to sustain/grow their business, and certifying team members with HACCP, they have your food company covered.

HACCP Training & Certification – This two-day workshop will provide the latest on food safety regulations as well as meet the 20 required hours under the guidelines to obtain certification. Dates/Locations: Jan. 31/ Feb. 1 – Springfield, Feb.14/15 – Cape Girardeau, Feb. 27/28 – Columbia

We hope you take advantage of one of these helpful events and join us in working towards a safer and more profitable food industry in Missouri.
