Workplace Safety – A Workshop to Help Your Biz Protect People and Property

As part of Missouri Enterprise’s Manufacturing Challenge workshop series, the organization and the Cape Area Chamber of Commerce are teaming up to offer a timely, yet brief, workshop to help manufacturers lower healthcare costs, avoid workers’ compensation claims, and reduce the number of lost days on the job.

WORKPLACE SAFETY. Two words that cause most to snooze or roll their eyes. But, considering how healthcare costs are rising AND how manufacturers cannot afford for a worker to be off the job due to an injury, these are two VERY IMPORTANT words.

Topics covered in the Cape Girardeau workshop: *Latest safety measures *Breakdown of injury responsibility *Explanation of Hazards & Controls *How OSHA works (& insight into penalties & inspections) *How Workers’ Comp. works *Ergonomics *Personal Protective Equipment *OSHA record keeping *Dangers of cellphone use

Your Instructor Since 1990, Mr. Andrew Gondzur has traveled from coast-to-coast providing safety, health and environmental compliance, consulting and training services to private businesses, government entities, insurance carriers and agencies of all sizes.
