Upcoming GAP sessions to prepare for USDA produce audits

Vegetable/fruit producer? Get the latest information on food safety practices and prepare for a USDA audit. Missouri Enterprise is partnering with the Missouri Department of Agriculture, and the Missouri Workforce Development and Investment Boards to help food growers enhance food safety procedures and practices.

Through these 6-hour Good Agricultural Practice (GAP) workshops, you will have a better understanding of what is expected to pass a USDA produce audit. This class will get you ready for the audit and take the next step towards GAP certification. GAP is a voluntary audit that verifies that fruits and vegetables are produced as safely as possible to minimize risks of microbial food hazards. It is more important than ever to ensure the food you produce for public consumption is safe. Sign up soon as capacity for each class is 10 participants.
