U.S. consumer prices experienced the largest increase in 6-1/2 years. This increase is for the year through June.
“U.S. inflation continues to drift gradually higher in response to a nearly fully employed economy, with some nudging from tariffs,” Sal Guatieri, a senior economist at BMO Capital Markets in Toronto, was quoted as saying in Reuters.
