Trump says not ready to make trade deal with China
President Trump said on Wednesday that the United States wasn’t ready to come to an agreement over trade disputes with China but he said talks would continue.
The world’s two largest economies have imposed tariffs on $50 billion of each other’s goods. Trump is considering imposing tariffs on another $200 billion in Chinese imports.
“We’ve done very well in negotiations with China but we’re not prepared to make the deal that they’d like to make,” Trump was quoted as saying in Reuters.
