The first quarter of 2019 looks promising for job seekers in Missouri, according to a new report.

A survey from ManPowerGroup, a global staffing firm, found that 17 percent of businesses in the state will be looking for new employees to open the new year.

Another 75 percent of businesses in Missouri responded that they plan to maintain current staffing levels over the first quarter, and 6 percent said they plan to reduce payroll.

More than 12,500 businesses nationwide were interviewed for the survey.
