State revenues remain strong through January 2020

State net general revenue collections have increased by $280 million for the fiscal year to date, according to a press release from the Office of Administration.

Net GR collections for the fiscal year-to-date increased 5.5%, from $5.11 billion last year to $5.39 billion this year. Collections increased in all categories:

  • Individual income tax collections: 6.2%

  • Sales and use tax collections: 1.2%

  • Corporation income tax collections: 15.8%

  • Other collections: 4.0%

Refunds year-to-date have modestly increased by $13.5 million.
