Shuttering of Riverside manufacturing operation cuts 175 jobs - need employees in the North KC area?

A Riverside counter top operation called Premier Surfaces was shut down Friday, resulting in the loss of jobs for 175 employees.


Premier Surfaces was founded in 1984 as Top Master, which sold in 2016 to Michigan-based private equity investors O2 Investment Partners LLC and Oakland Standard Co. under an entity called Clio Holdings Top Master was renamed Premier Surfaces, which eventually reached about $120 million in annual sales.


On Friday, virtually all the employees under Clio Holdings received an email about the termination of their employment. About 700 employees nationwide were affected.


OPPORTUNITY: The closure of the Premier Surfaces operation will leave 175 experienced manufacturing employees searching for employment within the North Kansas City area.
