October 16th is National Support Your Local Chamber of Commerce Day. Observed annually on the third Wednesday of October, National Support Your Local Chamber of Commerce Day celebrates the invaluable work being done by chambers of commerce nationwide to strengthen the economy, business community, and local enterprises of all sizes.
“Joining and supporting your local chamber of commerce is just as important as supporting the work we do here at Associated Industries of Missouri (AIM),” said Ray McCarty, president and CEO of AIM. “Local chambers are the local voices of businesses, just as we serve as the voice of Missouri businesses statewide. While we operate at the state level and help resolve business issues, local chambers often help businesses weigh in on local regulations and issues, they promote economic development locally, and they serve as a great way to network with other business professionals. We strongly support our local chambers of commerce and encourage all businesses to consider supporting your local chamber of commerce,” he said.
