Right-to-work, supported by Associated Industries of Missouri (AIM), has passed in both the House and the Senate. The next step is approval by Governor Greitens, who has said he will sign it into law if it makes it to his desk.
“Passage of this law will allow Missouri to advertise as a right-to-work state,” said Ray McCarty, president of AIM. “No longer will Missouri miss out on economic development opportunities simply because we were not a right-to-work state. We believe Missouri has a lot to offer companies, including a highly trained workforce, low utility rates, and a central location. Now, some companies that have never considered Missouri may allow us to compete for new employer locations and the jobs and economic benefits that follow such investments,” said McCarty.
