Associated Industries of Missouri congratulates Springfield State Representative Kevin Austin, elected by the House Republican caucus this week Assistant Majority Floor Leader.
Rep. Austin fills the vacancy created when former Assistant Majority Floor Leader Mike Cierpiot was elected Majority Floor Leader earlier this summer.
Rep. Austin was elected to the House in 2012. He is a lawyer by trade and practices in the area of business counseling and litigation and insurance defense. This past session, Austin sponsored House bills supported by AIM on changing the laws regarding the Missouri Human Rights Act and employment discrimination and tax incentives for data storage centers.
