April 24, 2025 - The Missouri Senate debated a Senate substitute version of the paid sick leave bill that was filibustered for many, many hours last night and early this morning.

While we were negotiating with Democrats the entire time, no agreement has yet been reached. This is following filibusters and negotiations over multiple legislative days spanning the last several weeks. We will continue our work next week.

While we could share with you details about the substitute that is currently pending on the bill, it is NO indication of the way the bill will look after negotiations and would likely create confusion.

We will keep you posted of any developments, but the Senate has adjourned for the week and will not return until 4:00 p.m. Monday. It is unclear whether the bill will be taken up again at that time.
