August 3, 2022 - The "unofficial" results of the primary election last night are now posted on the Missouri Secretary of State website: https://enr.sos.mo.gov/
Some select races of statewide interest:
U.S. Senate Race
Republican:
Current Attorney General Eric Schmitt won big with 46% of the vote. Congresswoman Vicky Hartzler received 22% of the vote and former governor Eric Greitens received 19% of the vote. Each of the other candidates received less than 5% of the vote.
Democrat:
Trudy Busch Valentine received 43% of the vote and won the Democrat primary. Lucas Kunce received 38% of the vote and each of the other candidates received less than 4% of the vote.
State Auditor Race
Republican:
Current State Treasurer Scott Fitzpatrick beat Rep. David Gregory 65%-35%, winning the Republican primary.
Democrat:
Alan Green was the only Democrat candidate in this race.
U.S. Representative District 1
Republican:
Andrew Jones received 42% of the vote and won the Republican primary.
Democrat:
Congresswoman Cori Bush won the Democrat primary with 69% of the vote. State Senator Steven Roberts received 27% of the vote.
U.S. Representative District 2
Republican:
Congresswoman Ann Wagner received 67% of the vote and won the Republican primary.
Democrat:
State Rep. Trish Gunby won the Democrat primary with 85% of the vote.
U.S. Representative District 3
Republican:
Congressman Blaine Luetkemeyer received 70% of the vote and won the Republican primary.
Democrat:
Bethany Mann won the Democrat primary with 62% of the vote.
U.S. Representative District 4
Republican:
Mark Alford received 35% of the vote and won the Republican primary. Current State Sen. Rick Brattin received 21% of the vote, Kalena Bruce received 16% and Taylor Burks received 10% of the vote.
Democrat:
Jack Truman ran unopposed and won the Democrat primary.
U.S. Representative District 5
Republican:
Jacob Turk received 52% of the vote and won the Republican primary.
Democrat:
Congressman Emanuel Cleaver won the Democrat primary with 86% of the vote.
U.S. Representative District 6
Republican:
Congressman Sam Graves received 76% of the vote and won the Republican primary.
Democrat:
Henry Martin won the Democrat primary with 46% of the vote.
U.S. Representative District 7
Republican:
Current State Sen. Eric Burlison received 38% of the vote and won the Republican primary. Former state senator Jay Wasson received 23% of the vote, Alex Bryant received 18% of the vote and current State Sen. Mike Moon received 9% of the vote.
Democrat:
Kristen Radaker-Sheafer won the Democrat primary with 63% of the vote.
U.S. Representative District 8
Republican:
Congressman Jason Smith received 82% of the vote and won the Republican primary.
Democrat:
Randi McCallian ran unopposed to win the Democrat primary.
