Timmons and Moon were also quoted by News MS (MS) on the vote. Timmons is quoted saying Nissan employees “will see an uncertain future” if they vote for unionization. Timmons adds, “The future does become very uncertain as unionization does occur and from what I hear, from manufacturing employees as I am on shop floor traveling the country and promoting manufacturing in America, it’s that manufacturing employees want certainty for their families. They don’t want uncertainty, and this kind of a vote would certainly create that uncertainty.” Timmons concludes that “The decision that the employees have to make is that they have to decide whether they want to vote for an entity that will change their relationship with their employers at Nissan.”
