This month, the Keystone XL Pipeline was stalled by a federal judge over permitting.
In a 54-page order, Judge Brian Morris of the U.S. District Court for the District of Montana ordered the State Department to revisit several elements of its environmental impact statement for the project. Keystone XL first applied for a permit in July 2008. The federal government has been studying the environmental impact of this project for ten years.
Completion of the Keystone XL Pipeline would mean tens of thousands of American jobs and a more secure energy supply, sourced from right here in North America.
