According to data released by the Missouri Department of Economic Development, Missouri’s nonfarm payroll employment grew by 9,300 jobs in October, reaching a new record high for the state with 2,838, 500 jobs. In the last twelve months, Missouri has gained 50,900 jobs.
Also in October, Missouri’s unemployment rate went down to 5.1 percent, the lowest it has been in 11 years. Personal income averages have increased by nearly 2 percent each year over the last five years.
