October 28, 2020 - The 2020 Associated Industries of Missouri Extension Industry Award was awarded to Matthew Pezold, Field Specialist in Labor and Workforce Development in Jackson County.
Mr. Pezold is credited with embracing dynamic collaboration and the use of technology to meet the needs of Missouri industry. He was responsible for developing more than 24 webinars that helped industries navigate through the COVID-19 crisis.
In March 2020, MU Extension Labor and Workforce Development launched social media platforms on Facebook and LinkedIn to elevate branding and increase marketing. These efforts proved to be an effective way to increase awareness and partnerships with industry.
"Collaborating and building new pipelines of industry information has been both rewarding and exciting and has never been more important," said Pezold.
"We congratulate Matt on this achievement and really appreciate his efforts, and those of his colleagues in Extension, to help Missouri industry lead the nation," said Ray McCarty, president and CEO of Associated Industries of Missouri.
