KPMG to add 175 tech jobs in downtown St. Louis

Some great news from Associated Industries of Missouri member KPMG!

From the St. Louis Business Journal

KPMG said Tuesday it would add 175 new information technology jobs to its downtown St. Louis office, at 10 S. Broadway.

The new hires, made over the next three years, will give KPMG’s St. Louis office one of the largest IT headcounts in the organization; its global IT team is based in New Jersey.

If the company meets hiring projections, KPMG will be eligible for $7.4 million in tax incentives through the state’s Missouri Works (Mega category) program.

“The addition of these jobs reflects the cadence of change in the tech sector, which is profound,” said KPMG Chief Information OFficer Harry Moseley.

Moseley said he expects hiring to start in November, with 100 of the jobs filled over the next 12 months.

Karen Vangyia, managing partner of KPMG’s St. Louis office, said the company will build out another half floor to accommodate the new hires, with more expansion likely in the future (KPMG currently occupies two and a half floors). The cost of the expansion was not disclosed.

The announcement is more positive tech news for the city of St. Louis.
