In an article titled “Americans Still See Manufacturing As Key To Job Creation,” Gallup (5/24) says a new poll taken from May 3-7asked participants, “In your opinion, what would be the best way to create more jobs in the United States?” The poll shows that Americans responded most often with answers related to manufacturing, and, similar to previous polls, lowering taxes and creating more infrastructure work “were also among the top ideas.” In addition, Americans today “are somewhat more likely to mention reducing government regulation as the best way to create jobs (12%)” than they were in 2009 (7%).
