The EPA is holding a series of Clean Air Act listening sessions across the country, one of which will be held at the District 7 Offices at College Boulevard and Renner Road in Lenexa, Kansas.
The session will be held November 4, 2013, 4:00-8:00 pm CST at the U.S. EPA Region 7 Offices 11201 Renner Blvd. Lenexa, KS 66219. Associated Industries of Missouri president and CEO Ray McCarty will attend the meeting on behalf of employers, noting the challenges presented by the EPA’s regulations on the use of coal to generate electricity, including increases in utility rates and the inability to achieve the levels in the regulation using existing, proven technology. But we also welcome you to attend and let the EPA know the impact the new regulations will have on your business.

The Issue:
The EPA is holding these events to listen to the public and answer questions about the Clean Air Act, and we must ensure they hear the side of reason. The Clean Air Act is just another example of the Obama administration’s tendency to over-regulate, and could cost the country and the region thousands of jobs by crippling coal powered energy production. Overregulating the coal industry also results in higher energy costs for businesses big and small. Help make your voice heard by attending this event.
