DST Systems Inc. will receive a $1.97 million Missouri Works grant from the Missouri Department of Economic Development to help the company create 415 new jobs in Kansas City.
DST, which specializes in technology, consulting and data processing for the financial and health care industries, said it would add the jobs through two business units: ALPS Alternative Investment Services and Argus Health Systems Inc.
DST acquired ALPS, a Denver-based financial services firm, in 2011. The company currently employs 625 people in its nine offices.
Argus Health Systems Inc. was previously owned by Americo Life Inc., which has been in the news recently for its role in a plan to renovate Kansas City International Airport.
