January 25, 2021 - The Senate Judiciary Committee today passed a COVID liability protection bill on to the full Senate for consideration. The bill was also "reported" for consideration by the full Senate.
The bill combines SB 51, sponsored by Senator Tony Luetkemeyer and SB 42, sponsored by Senator Bill White into one bill.
We are still reviewing the details of the legislation and will get a summary to our members soon, but this is a very positive step. Our hope is to have a bill passed as soon as possible with an "emergency clause" making the bill effective immediately upon signature by the Governor.
