Rep. Robert Cornejo has resigned his seat in the House of Representatives after he was appointed to serve on the Labor and Industrial Relations Commission.
“Having served as Chair of more than one House committee, including General Laws, Robert brings the experience necessary to his new role as Chairman of the Labor and Industrial Relations Commission,” Gov. Parson was quoted as saying in The Missouri Times. “His effectiveness in handling multiple projects ranging from constituent concerns to passing legislation at such a high level of quality gives him the qualifications needed to oversee this commission.”
Cornejo will join the commission, but still needs the consent of the Senate in the upcoming legislative session.
