Calling Manufacturers with Hiring Needs!

Missouri Enterprise is partnering with the State of Missouri to address manufacturing workforce shortages through a new expedited training program. The joint effort will lead a Basics of Manufacturing sessions for unemployed area residents in Arnold and Joplin to kickstart their skills and interest in the industry. The curriculum includes blueprint reading, basic measuring, manufacturing processes, lean principles, team work, communications, professional behavior, and basic problem solving.

Individuals who successfully complete the course will take part in an interview process with area manufacturers on the last day of the sessions. Because so many companies are struggling to fill vacant entry-level positions, we anticipate there to be a high level of interest. To ensure your company has a spot at the table for these interviews, please reach out to the point of contact for the Job Centers below. Employers should be prepared to share information about their current workforce needs. The goal is to match these prospective workers with companies in a hiring position as soon as possible.

Those who successfully graduate from the program will earn a Certificate of Completion. These ready to work participants could be the answer to filling entry-level manufacturing positions at your company!
