Ameren has gained approval for a Missouri wind farm from the Missouri Public Service Commission.
The PSC approved an agreement to build the High Prairie Wind Farm, which would involve 175 turbines in Adair and Schuyler counties.
The project is expected to produce about 400 megawatts of electricity.
Also this week, the company announced plans for a 157-megawatt farm in northwest Missouri.
