Ameren approved to build vehicle charging stations along highways

State regulators last week gave the green light to Ameren Missouri’s plan to build charging stations for electric cars along highways in Missouri.

The $4.4 million pilot program will run for five years and put charging stations at rest stops and businesses near highway entrances. The utility plans to offer incentives to businesses for their cooperation.
