Ameren is bringing back its accelerator program for a second year.
The St. Louis-based utility announced this week that it’s seeking energy-technology startups for the second class of the Ameren Accelerator.
Ameren partners with the University of Missouri System, UMSL Accelerate and Capital Innovators in running the accelerator. Startups selected for the 12-week program will get $100,000 in seed funding, plus workspace, mentorship, technical assistance and other resources.
Applications for this year’s program are due by March 9.
The utility says the program is designed to help it better meet future energy needs, draw startups to St. Louis and attract college students to the energy business.
