Earlier today, AIM President and CEO Ray McCarty joined advocates across Missouri to present Congresswoman Ann Wagner with 2020 Champion of Healthy Seniors award on behalf of the Partnership to Fight Chronic Disease. McCarty congratulated the Congresswoman along with representatives from the Epilepsy Foundation of Missouri and Kansas.
McCarty applauded Wagner for her efforts to protect the free market approach of Medicare Part D from calls to introduce price-setting into the highly successful drug program. He also thanked her for supporting increased access to tele-health and other services for rural residents during the coronavirus pandemic. The Congresswoman was pleased to accept the award and said she was hopeful to be back in DC next week to pass another bi-partisan COVID-19 package to continue to help support Missourians.
