Gas tax increase proposal will be filed again in the Missouri legislature

The chair of the state’s House Transportation committee says he’ll prefile a bill raising the gasoline tax by two cents. Republican Glen Kolkmeyer of Odessa says it’s a matter of making sure Missouri maintains the match necessary to receive federal funding.

AIM and the Missouri Transportation Development Council (MTD) are interested in and willing to discuss any proposals that will provide more funding for the state’s highway system.
