The Missouri Senate today has approved an economic development package designed to allow Missouri to compete for a proposed commercal aircraft project by Boeing. In a rare move, the Senate suspended the rules and completed their work on the bill to avoid a pending storm in the southern region of the state.
The bill was approved by a vote of 23-8. An emergency clause, allowing the bill to become effective upon signature of the governor, was approved by a vote of 23-8.
The bill, SB 1, now moves to the Missouri House for further consideration.
