Sen. Mike Bernskoetter presenting Senate Resolution to AIM President/CEO Ray McCarty
Senator Mike Bernskoetter presented a Senate Resolution to Associated Industries of Missouri in honor of the 100th anniversary of that organization.
Associated Industries of Missouri was formed at a meeting April 14, 1919, held at the Muehlebach Hotel in Kansas City. The organization has lobbied in the Missouri Capitol on behalf of businesses ever since, making it the oldest statewide employer advocacy organization in Missouri.
AIM worked on and passed the first workers’ compensation, unemployment, environmental and legal reform laws in Missouri over the last 100 years, and continues to represent businesses of all sizes and types in the Missouri Capitol today on these issues and any other issues important to Missouri businesses.
Senate Resolution No. 612, 04/11/2019
DID YOU KNOW AIM was formed before the Lake of the Ozarks? Union Electric Light and Power (Missouri) completed the Bagnell Dam on the Osage River in 1929, ten years after AIM was created.
