The National Association of Manufacturers has produced a series of new commercials that will run in selected television markets throughout the country, calling attention to the implementation of the EPA’s new ozone regulations and the harm they will cause.
In the first commercial “What are we really getting from China?”, the spot calls attention to a new study from NASA’s Jet Propulsion Lab that finds that pollution migrating here from China is undermining progress western states are making at cutting ozone levels. Even though states, businesses and individuals are doing their part to reduce ozone-forming emissions and seeing great success, they can’t stop invasive Chinese pollution from impeding that progress.
In the second commercial, NAM calls attention to the fact that the new ozone standards will place hundreds of new counties around the U.S. into non-attainment status on air quality, thereby hampering industry’s ability to grow or even locate in new areas.
You can learn more about how the EPA’s overreaching ozone standards would potentially harm manufacturers in Missouri and across the country by going to NAM’s Ozone Regulation web site at: http://www.nam.org/ozone/
