The AP (4/3) reports the Commerce Department announced that factory orders rose 1.6 percent in February. The gain comes after two prior months of declines in orders. The Commerce Department also reported that demand for core capital goods fell 1.4 percent for February. Demand for durable goods rose 2.2 percent and orders for non-durable goods rose 1 percent.
