Missouri rural broadband providers awarded $254 million in FCC subsidies
The Federal Communications Commission awarded $1.5 billion in subsidies to bring broadband to rural areas. Missouri gets $254 million of these funds, the largest amount of any state.
Missouri currently ranks 42nd in the nation in broadband availability.
The money is expected to bring broadband to more than 95,000 households and businesses.
