The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services released a new public health warning with suggestions to reduce the spread of COVID-19. This notice included a personal behavior advisory, business advisory, travel advisory, local government advisory, and county action plans.
The health warning was motivated by the country’s recent extreme COVID outbreak. In addition, it was also motived by concerns of increased vulnerability brought on by the coming winter season. The notice recommended a balanced approach of living and working responsibly to avoid COVID, while not going under lockdown.
The warning included encouragement to wear masks, social distancing, staying home, modifying workplaces, and minimizing travel. In addition, there were plans made for counties at extreme, critical and serious risk.
