April 25, 2019 – AIM President/CEO Ray McCarty spoke to a very large group of several hundred environmental professionals and government officials from several Midwestern states yesterday.
“It was a pleasure to speak to the group just across the Barney Ellis Plaza from the former Muehlebach Hotel, where Associated Industries of Missouri was formed this very month 100 years ago,” said McCarty.
McCarty told the crowd that AIM was instrumental in passage of the original environmental laws in Missouri in the 1960’s and 70’s.
Matt Leopold of the USEPA spoke regarding the Waters of the U.S. (WOTUS) regulation. He told the crowd the WOTUS regulation would be revised and would be based on “navigable waters” and their tributaries.
