Judge blocks ‘persuader rule’ in blow to organized labor

The “persuader rule,” which would have required law firms to publicly disclose work they do for employers surrounding union organization efforts, was blocked on Wednesday by a ruling of a Texas-based federal judge. The rule oversteps the Labor Department’s authority and is considered a violation of the First Amendment.
