Governor Mike Parson gave a press briefing at 4pm Wednesday.
The topic that dominated the briefing was the protests surrounding the killing of George Floyd. The Governor gave an endorsement of peaceful protests as an important part of free speech. He also condemned looting and violence, including the shooting of four police officers in St. Louis.
Governor Parson was joined by Missouri Department of Public Safety Director Sandy Karsten, Adjutant General of the Missouri National Guard Levon Cumpton and Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services Director Dr. Randall Williams.
