April 2, 2019, was the first Buy MO! Day in the Missouri Capitol.
Hosted by Lt. Governor Mike Kehoe, manufacturers and craftsmen and women from across Missouri attended the event, showcased their wears, and visited legislators.
“Associated Industries of Missouri applauds Lt. Gov. Mike Kehoe in his continuing commitment to promote Missouri businesses and tourism through this program,” said Ray McCarty, President/CEO of Associated Industries of Missouri. “We are proud of the way this effort is helping alert Missourians to products made right here in Missouri,” he said.
Governor Mike Parson, who started the program when he served as Lt. Governor, addressed the crowd. Both he and Lt. Governor Kehoe encouraged attendees to be proud of their products and to use the program to help support local businesses. Lt. Gov. Kehoe noted AIM’s support, including securing the trademarks for the program (credit to AIM Board Member Ruth Binger, Danna McKitrick P.C. for doing the legal work).
AIM Board Member Rod Reid, representing Shepherd Hills Factory Outlets, attended the meeting and met with Senator Sandy Crawford and also received an introduction on the floor of the House of Representatives.
