Missouri’s economy added 11,800 jobs this month.
Unemployment remained steady at near record lows. Missouri’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was 3.3 percent. Out of the roughly 3 million individuals in Missouri’s civilian labor force, 101,701 were unemployed in April.
Missouri sees over the year job gains across key industries:
Professional, Scientific and Technical Services (+6,000 jobs, up 3.7 percent)
Accommodation and Food Services (+7,300 jobs, up 2.8 percent)
Manufacturing (+6,500 jobs, up 2.4 percent)
Health Care and Social Assistance (+9,900 jobs, up 2.3 percent)
