Today the Missouri Department of Economic Development released the March 2019 jobs report. Missouri’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate stood at 3.3%, making March the 32nd consecutive month in which Missouri’s rate has been lower than the national unemployment rate and the 48th consecutive month in which Missouri has had an equal or lower rate. Missouri’s unemployment rate has fallen almost 1% since January 2017.

Missouri has nearly 2.9 million jobs in non-farm employment. Employment reached all-time highs earlier this year with sectors like Manufacturing and Professional, Scientific and Professional Services beating the national growth rate in March by 0.8% and 1.6%, respectively.
