Ag tax credit bills cross chambers

September 21, 2022 - The Missouri Senate approved SB 8 and the Missouri House approved HB 3 - now identical bills that are designed to extend agricultural tax credits by 6 years.

Each bill will now be considered by the other chamber: the House bill in the Senate and the Senate bill in the House.

AIM is supportive of the bills and several of the tax credit programs that are extended by the bills, including the Wood Energy Tax Credits that help encourage recycling of sawdust into charcoal, and the Meat Processing Facility Tax Credits.

Issues have been added to both bills that would require Governor Parson to expand his call for special session to include the extra items, but the language in both bills is aligned, so passage of at least one of the bills seems extremely likely.

We will keep you posted of the progress.
